Three Thoughts On Death
Stately totems of the proudest of tribes, not as tall as the evergreen pines... the blood of the Sioux flows, the carnage is a terrible loss! Corps sprawled as harvested corn husks that grew on prairies beneath huge rocks: hear the wailing of violated women, and the loud cry of hungry children! I stroll by a weed-infested graveyard... one tombstone has the name of a bard, angels hover like sentries so attentive... no pretty flowers on it: who will grieve? I kneel down as a humble monk in dark, long cloak to console with prayers his soul forgotten as an old book... why didn't death grant him the wish to live longer? Did he not show mercy to others knocking on his door? Swollen grey clouds, like floating balloons, are bound for a town, city or farm to ravage them when they are illuminated by a powerful lightning becoming storm! No one is safe under any wrathful sky: don't look up, keep on running and hide... it might turn into a devastating hurricane, leaving behind: death, stench and landslide!
