In Balance
The world is always in balance Harmony is created again and again Disguised in the madness Tucked under this sadness Peeling at the corners, twirling mad with the wind The things that are And the way things are not Defy all the control and continuous plot The maze aint the same as the ones that proceed Yet the middle and its trappings Make you seethe with unease You stand at the cliff, where the edge meets the sky With your burning heart, pounding You let go and fly But you don’t- not yet Your toes grip the earth Why can’t you sink into the chaos? Why not multiply your mirth Your misery, pity-me Your cry to the Divine I only exceed you because I try all the time I will not drop anchor at these murky, damp streets I will not shelter my fears, I will gut them, expose them Let them rot like raw meat Because I am alive And my heart, it survives I will open my skies, let them bloom Crystallize
