You'Re the Man
Children we all were once little spinning centers of our own universes. How they come on the wings of a prayer in the throws of passion, or in lapses of judgment… No matter, the gift of a child is the gift of a new start. My son, “Ah the dreams I had for him.” Yet, from day one he was his own man, leery of the hard road, full of laughter precocious beyond all measure “Oh you’re so handsome and so smart.” I’d say and he say, “And funny too Mommy!” Always in the winners circle with something unique and unusual making me proud. Science projects on The Lost Continent of Atlantis [proven by linguistic drift and the movement of tectonic plates!] Wunderkind, he is…National Merritt Scholar, White House and State Dept intern, now he works to help raise up the workers of the third world.. Makes a Mother proud, he does. No longer the center of my own world, as I willingly wait for grandchildren...
