What Did You You You You You You Not Say
WHAT DID YOU NOT SAY? Such as velvet…. Violets……. Heatedly Sweetly----- Suave Sometimes funny The Easter bunny But most all pleasant Smooth Smiley Wily Witty Surely she’s urban Far from the big city My roof is caving in and she says, “honey, there’s always plaster” and makes misery no longer my master And asks me to stop “Just stop to think about ferrets, flamingoes and the fundamentals Like fun, hon It’s the kind of kindness her words express sensibly And I must admit Sensually The kind that gives a man no other choice Oh, I’m sorry, didn’t you ask me to describe wistful wonder in one wondrous woman Words captured Sentences enraptured Paragraphs, peaceful An armistice in every word A mutual surrender to each syllable Two each with words she and I emphatically embrace words of hers my heartbeats can trace When words wend their way to wonder and a friend Yet bearing the fact that this is a story with a biased end He wrote with passion persuaded by a yearning to keep my pace in a silent race She wrote with what he knew was written by a woman of genuine grace And yet each voice is silent and they never even met face to face © 2011.… Phreepoetree ~free cee!~ “
