An Artist's Mind
We were lead here for something, for somewhere to dream. To the City of Angels, all on the same team. Actors and singers, painters, designers searching for life that's a little bit finer. What is it that keeps us tied to this place? Some climbing fast or at a slow pace. Do we all scream at night when we don't feel the glitter? Has each of us been so mad and so bitter? Our private dreams that we keep locked in our mind is the place where I'd like to roam and unwind. Gliding through the mazes you keep deep in your soul and what makes you weep? This roller coaster we are constantly on is a test of our souls we breathe in each dawn. Knock, Knock, please let me in I'd like to take notes on what your thinkin. We leave and come back and still call it our home Why is that, when we feel cold and alone? Perhaps its the moments when on the freeway, Sunroof back and singing away. Staring up at the big white sign Hollywood beckons and then we feel fine. Small defeats, small sorrows, but always remember the sun shines tomorrow.
