I'M Just Old
I’m Just Old I’m out of touch, that’s what I’d say, Not in key with the brand new way. Keeping up is not my style, To call me fresh would be a foul. But my Better-half stays in chic, While I play catch and seek. She wears the latest, while I wear jeans, She eats quiche, while I eat beans She likes to dance, while I step on toes, I’m conservative; while she’s anything goes. I’m a republican, a John McCain man, While she’s a Barack Obama fan. I like dinners in, she prefers eating out, I like staying in, she like being about. Christmas shopping is not for me, While she loves presents under the tree. She uses the latest phrases, while I still say ‘dude’. And when I don’t correct myself, she thinks I’m rude. She’s so young, fresh and bold, While I guess I’m just getting old.
