Each one showing growth, each one showing grace, Each one showing the many changes of your face. They are aligned on the stairwell for everyone to see, Just how this beautiful boy came to be. Each one tells a story of how you’ve grown, And the happiness you brought into this home. One of my favorites was when you were six months old, With that cute smile that’s beginning to become bold. Or the one at age two with the tear in your eye, It almost brings one to mine as I walk by. Just last week you went and shot age three, What a great addition that one will be. I can hardly wait to hang it with the rest, Surly to become one of my favorites I guess. Each night as I climb the stairs to go off to bed, I’m reminded of each stage and the ones that lie ahead.
