Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required I close my eyes, take a breath, feel my heart, in my chest. Now exhale, look once again, As my face, lights with a grin. My newborn babe, a face so sweet. Ten little toes on such tiny feet. Little hands clenched, into fists. Sleeping deep, in peaceful bliss. Bow of a mouth, with lips pursed, working as, if to nurse. I give a wave, blow a kiss. Wipe a tear, as my eyes mist. I turn to leave, the room once more. Keep both eyes, on the two doors. The nurse says, "Bye, we'll see you soon." I say "Yes, we'll be back at noon." Just to hold, my little boy, to share my love, feel the joy. His Dad holds me close and tight. Saying "Hon, He will be all right." But, from empty arms, his eyes tear, But, at least now, we have no more fear. Just a few more days, a few more ounces, until the day, the Doctor announces. That all is well, the crisis is passed, so you can come home, with us at last. A Premmie babe, that came to soon. Not long enough, in the womb. I close my eyes, take a breath.
