I’m restless and hurried and hate to waste time except at a movie or dealing with rhyme! And nothing I’m thinking of wastes my time more than driving in traffic; it’s one big fat bore. So I have developed some skills of my own. Here’s one thing I do that not all would condone when I’m stuck at a left turn, not wanting to wait behind a long line of cars making me late: If on that corner, I spy a gas station, I pull in there (though it’s not my destination). By making my turn from that spot’s lot instead, I rarely lose time, and in fact, I’m ahead! And if on the freeway I happen to see the traffic I’m in is a big mess to me, and it keeps getting slower, I get myself OUT. I take the next exit, just changing my route! I always am looking ahead on the street to figure out conflicts that I’m going to meet. A train up ahead? Then I U-turn and find a new way! That waiting just taxes my mind! Those U-turns are awesome! I use them a lot to get myself out of a really tight spot! I’m not always sure about U-turning laws, And so I use caution with those, just because! I doubt I break too many laws with all this. If I do, please don’t tell me. Not knowing is bliss. I’m restless and hurried; a long-time survivor - a cuttingcornerstrafficscornerfemaleconniverdriver.
