The Journey
An epic love and a grand adventure, Between this woman and this man. It was a journey of a million miles, And with the first step it began. A journey that stretched over a lifetime, And left a legacy of love behind. Looking back at where we started, It’s so far from where we’ve come to. Knowing the fire and ice we’ve walked through. And oh, the storms and winters, we have weathered. But this love is one that will not be tethered. But if I had known then, what I know now There would have been no fears. Because I’d have known we’d make it somehow. I would have known the happiness would be worth the tears. I would have never had a single doubt. But it took living it, to find it out. But I think somewhere deep down I always knew, And I think somehow you did too. That this was something that was meant to be. This was the life that was purposed for you and me. So wee took those first steps in faith, and walked the first mile. Knowing now, that each and every step was worth while. Because it brought us to our “Somewhere.” And taught us the lessons in the getting there. And oh, what a journey it has been, And you’d better believe it, when I say I’d do it all again.
