-among the Dead Entry-
Aliesha Hamrick -Among the Dead- The spin of the cylinder echoed in my mind. I knew I had to follow threw, there was no turning back from this faithful quest. Deep breaths only made my heart sink deeper in my chest. I remember him saying, "Raven, don't let this get the best of you". I felt my heart beating as I held the gun in place. So many people who couldn't say goodbye, will I ever see another sunrise? Terrified but not faltering I pulled the trigger, silence. Relief fell over my face as I passed the gun across the table. He looked at me with a smirk on his face, held the gun in place and shoved his finger down, this was no race. My turn once again, I could only imagine all those gravestones in the black abyss with the remains of others trying to pass this same test. With my hand trembling, I raised it, clenching my finger on the trigger. No more sunrise, no final goodbye's.
