Sunscream
Englands allways gloomy and dark and its getting on her nerves Why cant we have some african sunshine they got plenty in reserve Oh how she wishes for some third world sunshine Because a free all over tan would suit her just fine They say the rain in spain falls mainly on the plain In Englands case it falls everywhere and to her a constant pain She cant wear her Versace or Gucci when shes out on the town Because guarenteed come saturday night it will be throwing down Shes wishes she could shift the tilt of the earth to where Africa sits now And...if she were some kind of superhero she'd do it and to this she makes a vow Because this rainy climate stops her doing all that she holds dear to her and treasure Shopping going out with friends in short it messes with her leisure His name is Mbele today he lost his daughter They have poverty and disease here but she died from lack of water Hes one of the fortunate ones hes had an education When relief workers came here 4 years ago he prayed they had found salvation They dug the wells and for a time they had the precious water But they were forced to leave because of civil war factions bent on slaughter These last 3 years hes lost 2 sons a wife and now his beautiful daughter It hasent rained here for 2 years now and he as to walk 20 miles for water Starvation Hiv and drought are taking them one by one Soon this makeshift village will die everybody gone He has to make 10 mile round trip on foot twice a week When he gets there what was once a river now is barely just a creek He doesent know where is next meals coming from and just doesent know what to do You people he thinks to himself he really envies you Hes heard it said you have water in your houses by just turning on a tap He wishes this country of his was nearer to you peoples on the map Hes seen his family die before him by the bullet and the drought And what is commonplace and plentiful for you his people are dying without
