Cicerone
Ah, Cicerone... to fields of hazy orange take me Sunflowers as far as the eye can see 'gainst the bleach, the whitewashed walls This Amalfi Coast knows me, Oh sweet Cicerone. You are the guide but this is my soul... Take me down to shores to wade I'm as ancient as the markers bob The sea in tumult in tumbled tiles I'll pocket and dream of when back in the States... Ah, Cicerone... to rickety rusted buses bring me where the only thing foreign becomes my skin with the music of tongues in a thousand conversations evaporates me, Oh my sweet Cicerone. You are the guide... but this is my soul... Take me to statues in marble of masters I'm just along as a brief afterthought The sky is a riddle on this side of the world and it's me who has all the answers. Ah, Cicerone... You are the guide... but this is my soul...
