Unexpected Visitor
Opportunity is knocking, I can hear it at my door Should I let it come in or keep living my life as before I know I shouldn't hesitate and just step up to the call But, in the back of my mind, I'm terrified of the prospect of it all What if things don't change or they might get worse My life being the way it is, you'd think I had a curse The fear I have is minimal as of yet But if I don't take this chance, I will almost certainly regret What I am more afraid of is staying the same What if I never fulfill the dreams that came And went like the wind blowing out of my life And I never get the chance to be somebody's wife Is this where I am going to stay forever Living in mediocrity, molded together With fear and unhappiness. I want something more So I think I am going to open the door And let opportunity in and see where it takes me Hopefully, my passion and my spirit will be set free
