I Was Chasing Shadows In the Foggy Rain
I was chasing shadows in the foggy rain Written By Dean Masciarelli Friday, June 25, 2010 I was chasing shadows in the foggy rain desperately trying to reach my destination With much difficulty because of the storm that I was in And unfortunately all my navigational equipment was down But out of all the things that were down at least the lights on my sail boat were still on so that I could stay warm inside my cabin But all along I kept hoping and praying that a huge miracle would take place soon Because all I wanted was to get back to land So I could return to the comfort of my own home But while I was stranded out at sea and on my own This to shall pass kept crossing my mind And that’s when I started thinking about all of my loved ones Wondering if I would ever have a chance to see them again And then for some reason I fell asleep in my bed and I didn’t get back up again until early dawn to the sounds of seagulls singing into the wind And it was a friendly reminder that the storm was gone And I knew from that point on that my prayers had been answered and it wouldn’t be long now because I knew I would make it home Because the good Lord had stood beside me through out the storm As he always has and always will until my time here on earth is done
