You'd think it were a country, You'd think they built my house; between the stripes, not the stars. You'd think I ate the red and bled the blue. But my house is not a flag, my air is not a flag, my soil is not a flag, my water is not a flag, the flag won't love me when I'm sad, the flag won't feed me in the cold; you say me bold, but I don't care. Life isn't a flag, salute the air. Salute thy neighbor, go outside. Tell your neighbor: " Your my flag. I salute you, I defend you, to make sure that you don't starve." I don't need a colored rag, It's not my country, it's just a flag.
