We'd listen to episodes of Jack Armstrong, "The All-American Boy!" Remember The Great Gildersleeve admonishing his nephew LeeeeRoy? Jack Benny was hilarious as he struggled to master the violin. The Bickersons kept us in stitches with arguments none could win! Fanny Brice was so funny tweaking Daddy's nose as "Baby Snooks!" America's favorite teacher was a lady named, "Our Miss Brooks!" Remember, "Henry! Henry Aldrich!" and his reply, "Coming Mother!" Or the bantering of Bergen and McCarthy pestering one another! Even the news was interesting with Walter Winchell greeting me: "Evenin' Mr & Mrs North & South America and all the ships at sea!"
