Dungeon Men
Trapped inside a hole of hatred dungeon men ratteling bones Trying to lure the humdrum dog Drooling, with the keys clenched in it's mouth They give out cries of sorrow calling the scruffy dog holding the keys Nightfall comes The men lay cold on the frigid floor Not knowing what they have in store They long their freedom, as it calls to them during their sleepless nights in the jail cell They dream of the summer mornings dream of snowy nights with the iceicles glistening in the moonlight laynig cozy, in their warm, heated house Wanting, waiting for their release hopeing, dreaming to be in peace The dungeon dog howls, a long, piercing howl Wondering why he's there he asks himself "How did I get in the mess? I want to run outside, not to wander dreary, filthy dungeon cells!" But that also is what the dungeon men say they whisper that message to themselves every night They stay and dwell in filthy old dungeon cells With papers that say life long sentence
