Leaving Bruce
Feeling free as an uncaught Christmas goose, I left on a Valentine's Day with a Dear Bruce Letter and a tie. Wonder why he kept it for years. There were tears I took his children, but when he Finally found me, he threatened to cut me to pieces. I drove in a blizzard from Tennesee to Colorado. From my Dad and my friends I got a big Bravo. I ran out of gas half way there. A policeman helped Me as did my friends to get me the money. Not funny. Had three kids, clothes, dog, cat and a bird. Absurb! Two months later at work I found my true love. Must have been Heaven sent from our Lord above. For he didn't date women with kids and I had three. He raised them after three years dating-God bless thee. Now we have grandchildren, five of them, one adopted. He's opted to call my son Dad, as does my son calls Larry. When I first met him, his face was handsome and hairy. To him, the three kids were scary, but all came to be. And now we are all one healthy and happy family. As it's now white, Larry's shaved off his beard.
