No Way Out
the excuse is not the answer your pain it isn't mine the bruises are still healing but it's only a matter of time when it begins to start all over another day of threats the way you are controlling i haven't come to terms with yet you have a variety of behaviours you use to maintain fear but it's hard for me to understand it all seems so unclear why you see me as an object treat me the way you do try to blame it on a bad day when i know that isn't true your only effective method for gaining and keeping control is intimidation and power my life has taken its toll i have slowly began to notice that there are some warning signs when your temper gradually rises and you destroy things that are mine you treat me like a servant with my mind you're playing games you make me think that im crazy humiliate me with names my children have been taken put in a foster home somewhere your abuse just went too far existing without a care the day that they come home you'll be out of our lives for good a loving, peaceful family just like it damn well should
