Strength of a Queen
Strength of a Queen As Queen Ann’s Lace sets in the field, It reigns with great power among other florals Wearing a crown centered and pronged Beautiful lace falls all around. It graces the others in a bouquet And sturdy its stem must cut and not fray Wire like strands bendable, strong, Fragrance robust, pungent, and pronged. No season it wanes, through sun, frost or snow The Queen is still standing in degrees below. She may not have lace in winter’s mid morn But her crown stands atop the fields forlorn. And though the winds blow, The Queen bends in grace She knows that God, has given her this place. That’s why she’s a Queen, her strength does not yield, In spring she’s still there, a new bloom in the field. I’ve stood in the field, I once was a Queen I’ve weathered the storm that God’s given me. My stem never broke, my heart never yield For I stood with God in His loving field.
