For Katie
When someone goes missing out of your life. Do they know they're missing causes strife? It tear's at the soul just like a knife, and at moments fills the mind with all sorts of frights Then comes the darkness that color of the night They wonder endlessly with worry are they all right? Should I go a looking indeed I might But fearing what i'll find may just hurt my sight. My mind says "Leave worry, leave worry, leave worry alone!" Why torture yourself over someone who won't even phone? Some people are still children pretending to be grown. They don't care if you worry and they let it be known. "Back away, back away!!" it's true love again I let myself love someone knowing it was sin. But how can one escape the desire of the heart The reoccurring dream fanciful imaginative thought From the beginning. I have not left the path And yet this night of worry the blurry aftermath. Tomorrow is a new day I know not what it brings But if it brings you back my soul will loudly sing But if it be the opposite and i accept the change in you. Then I'll not worry you with calling and I'll tell myself it's through. (worries over for now. but they will ever haunt me as long as i love)
