Felix and Trix
Felix and Trix There once was a cat named, Felix With kindness, he covered his heart. He had so much fun in the sun at day's start. That he almost forgot about Trix. Tuxedo sparkling, black trimmed in white ‘Twas the attire that he wore every day… So handsome was he when he started to play. That not one cat or kitten had fright. His charisma and charm dealt them no harm. Nor to the squirrel named, Trix, he loved her. Mesmerized, was she by his gentle soft purr. That she climbed down the tree on the farm. In front of his face was her eating-place. And he purred while she ate and he lay. So thus it has been from then to this day. Felix purrs, as he watches Trix's face. © Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen January 11, 2010 This (true story) poem was written for the member contest: Cat Tails Sponsored by: Constance La France
