The Cheater
A cheating spouse A broken heart You are not close You’re torn apart. I now have proof Of your affair I’m not stupid The signs are there. The phone you hide Turn off the sound No ring you’ll here While I’m around. Drinking again At weekend drill Spending money But I won’t grill. Receipts I need For income tax “I’ll find them soon” “So just relax”. You still love me Or so you say But if you did You’d want to stay. Gone down this road Though years ago The hurt I felt I can’t let go. For my heart breaks Gone on too long I wish it’d mend To right this wrong. What did I do? To cause your stray? You’re wanting out You pull away. I will not beg I will not plead The games you play I do not need. So pack your bags Go out the door You will not live Here anymore.
