Handwritten Heavenward
When angels soothe you, where the stars sleep deep, my heart sighs through couplets, inked in saffron sweet to keep, and when feathers of twilight descend, I hear you ~ those whimsical times we made up names, dressed in pixie blue… So much has changed since your truth slipped away, the organic peace now dissolves into pigments at play ~ O heaven’s heartbeat ~ yet tongues that pretend to preach, are the ones so quick to teach that virtue lies out of reach… but compassion, my inner compass, when ignorance veils my sight, mercy is the mirror that reflects what makes us right… I failed to find loyalty, tasting toxicity through familiar eyes; life without you ~ such paradoxical paradise ~ I laminate love in loops of lunatic rhymes, phasing my flaws through the faulty bronze of dimes, perhaps you dodged a bullet, no longer missing out; you would never house a sun, should a vixen’s venom sprout. You were the wise, the kind, the clever at heart; your pilgrimage through wars of woe was an ineffable art. I will home you close, ocean-deep within my mermaid soul, a beautiful breeze cradling waves, no darkness could console. I pray divinity blooms sunflowers, bathing you in moonlight, as the Almighty gathers you into the arms of nascent night. Remember us across the distance of spheres, evermore, raining souvenirs from our yesteryears.. for I shall not pen an adieu, this, I promise will stay, endlessly true...
