If you died, I would have no regrets. I couldn't have held you tighter than I did. I wouldn't have stopped a single fight, not even more time would I bid. If I knew the last time was the last, I wouldn't have changed a thing. I wouldn't look deeper in your eyes, I wouldn't savor the sweet smile you bring. I would still throw things at your head, crying, angry in my room. Still hang up on you for no reason. With each fight, I watched our love bloom. I love you so much that, if you died, I would be okay, in a sense. That you taught me to live in the moment, and in the moment, I did my best. I was happy in our time together. That's all that really counts in the end. We savored every laugh and deep hug, that from heaven, you were a godsend. So, if you suddenly died today, my world would not end. The sun will still rise. My heart may crumble and collapse, but because of you, I'm a little more wise. I now know that, even if you're long gone, and maybe no longer by my side, that even from the deep dark, you would want no tears to be cried. So, if you went away and never returned, my heart and soul would snap in two. But I would rebuild, and I would take one day at a time, like you taught me to do.
