Welcome to Coach’s Corner, where the atmosphere is alive, Where locals and newcomers come together and thrive. From the sound of the DJ to the cheers from the crowd, There’s something about this place that makes you feel proud. The wings come out hot, the drinks come out cold, And stories around the tables are constantly told. Pool balls are breaking, darts find their mark, While sports fill the screens from daylight to dark. But beyond the food, the music, the games, and the cheer, It’s the people who make Coach’s Corner special year after year. The loyal locals who continue to walk through that door, The staff who keep welcoming you back for more. And behind it all stands a man deserving his due, Essa, this tribute is especially for you. Because you could have simply said, “No, that’s not for me,” But instead you said “Yes”—and allowed my vision to be. A vision born from words, from rhythm and rhyme, A place where poets could gather and share their time, You gave me the opportunity to bring it to life, To create Poetry Night and let these voices ignite. So every Tuesday, when the poets take the floor, And Poetry Night fills the walls of Coach’s Corner once more, Remember there’s a story behind every spoken word— A story of an opportunity that might never have occurred. Because sometimes all it takes is one person to believe, One open door, one chance, one reason to achieve. And Essa, your “yes” became much more than you knew—It became a place where poetry could come shining through.
