I was hoping to see you there, but not a trace of anything was there. Not even the smell of your perfume or an image of your countenance was there when I entered the room. I search from the top to the bottom of the shore and I visit every spot that we walked when you parachute through the door, I search every footprint on the sand and everywhere that we walked and held hands but the waves had washed them all away but my heartbeat was just a stone throw away. I walk the path of memory just to tell you that I am sorry. I can still see the beam when tons of steel came crashing down on the scene and dust foaming in the air eroding vision far and near and spilling debris everywhere. If I should roll back the clock in time, I would have pulled you up from the rubble, but I could only feel that passion from your heart just before the day start, and I waited for you to come but you weren’t there. Perhaps someday on the highway, I will find you at that spot. I will still hold you in my dreams and every year I will visit that scene and bring that connection to life for that is the only way that I will survive when I bring your spirit alive. It must have been a painful scene when tons of steels come crashing down on your dream; You must have suffocate beneath them for there was no body, no shoes or clothes or anything to prove that you were dead, but all I heard was that the steel crushed your head and your body must have pressed into the ground but until this day your body was not found. I walked the path of memory, just to tell you that I am sorry. The Carnegie Hall orchestra came alive when I walked in. I looked in the parquet, but you weren't there but two empty seats were there all the other seats were filled, and for one moment my spirit became still and tears start rolling from my eyes and I buried my face in my hands and start to cry. I could still feel you sitting beside me enjoying the concert in great company; your favorite rendition brought the house down and when the rendition was through the heavens blessed me and you. There are places that no one can go and there are places where our heart can grow. They are bigger than us and only the kindred spirit can go there, for they are one in mind, soul and body and they have no fear. They dwell in the spirit world, and so I ventured in the path of memory just to tell you that I am sorry. I stood underneath the tree just to see if your spirit would reveal itself to me and it would make the universe happy and just as I thought of it I felt a soft wind blow and there you were standing on the path of memory.
