I'm Human
I am human not by accident, but by divine design, The crown of creation, where dust and divinity intertwine. Not the strongest in the jungle, nor the swiftest in flight, But I was given dominion, and vision, and light. I am the only creature that weeps for another's pain, That prays for rain when others merely drink the rain. The lion kills to eat, the river flows to the sea, But I , I love beyond instinct, I forgive to be free. Behold how we live, how we build, how we become, From cave-fire whispers to cities that hum. We do not just exist, we _mean_, we _make_, we _mold_, We turn grief into wisdom, and weakness into gold. We socialize not in herds, but in hope and in art, We touch with our hands, but we connect heart to heart. A smile to a stranger can resurrect a soul, A word, rightly placed, can make the broken whole. No other creature was given this sacred pride, To stand for justice, with love as its guide. To look at the heavens and ask, "Why am I here?" And hear an answer in silence, so deep, so clear. Oh, what a privilege, what a terrifying grace, To be entrusted with earth, to be its keeper, not its disgrace. For pride is not to conquer, nor to boast and subdue, But to know I was made to love, and to lift, and to renew. So let me live worthy of this breath in my chest, Let my humanity be more than flesh at its best. Let me love fiercely, let me serve humbly, let me stand tall, For I am human and to be human, is to be all.
