Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required The diagnosis is a wishbone that lay in front of me. So I broke its corpse just to see. Doesn’t matter if my piece is big or small. The diagnosis will still be there in the fall. Holding both pieces of bone in my hand. I still don’t have the upperhand. As nippy as a crab on the shore. Who pinched my toe, and made it sore. Hey there, leave my toe alone. Well, that’s what happens when you pick up a bone. Yes the diagnosis is in. But we tossed it in the “don’t get well” bin. That office closed down a week after. It’s me who is stricken with laughter. Because those records are undone. Just as my latest project is spun. Glued that wishbone back together. But pieces are pieces no matter the tether.
