And the more I looked, I could see that I had many feet In many streams… How could that be? I started to climb up the legs That were attached to these feet That formed a great hill I started to climb. Sometimes a hand would grab me And pull me down Sometimes there were many hands That grabbed And pulled me down Feet would trip me Arms would entangle me Bodies would engulf me Twisting and turning to stop me. Finally I got to the top I stood up and took a deep breath I looked down I could see all the bodies And all the dreams And all the lives And all the lies And all the virtue And all the deceit I could see all around me Everywhere I felt loneliness I felt the sadness I felt the hurt And I felt the loss It was all me! My eyes and my heart were opened Off in the distance I could see the Youngest of me sitting silently He waited so long And was so deserving And so innocent, I welcomed him home. The skies grew brighter. Below me I could see That all the legs Still went to all the feet That were still in all the streams. But now, I could see the streams were coalescing together Into a mighty river And that big beautiful river Flowed into a deep blue, Beautiful sea Full of light and Life
