I've taken train rides through the night, that zip across the miles, and airplane jaunts that carried me to foreign lands in style. But there is something I would love to try to do some day; I'd love to ride my heart and be completely swept away. I've known a few amazing folk who have no trouble there. They simply jump aboard their hearts and ride without a care. They trust that inner core to know the right thing to be done, new destinations to be sought and places they should shun. I so admire this willingness to ride one's inner heart, for those who do will know the best that living can impart. They'll soar to heights I've never known and zip through night's dark ride with boundless hope and pure delight, and joy they cannot hide. Though I may ride my Ferris wheels and spin in giant cups, or dangle in a parachute, when life itself erupts, I'd rather know that I might ride my heart to dreams, above the edge of reason, out of sight to somewhere ruled by love... a land where only hearts can go, where hope and peace are found, where life's adventures never cease, and gifts of love abound. For such adventure, such delight, I'd gladly set aside the tired restraints of reason's grip and jump aboard the ride.
