Connected In Their Dreams - Part 3
He entered a dimly lit venue With tables scattered around. He caught sight of her waiting for him, Her eyes scanning the crowd. An open mic event was on Tribute acts and Kareoke Any who wished to could perform, A mad bunch did the Hokey Cokey! She rose, with bag in hand, deflated About to leave - when a distraction... A finger tapping on the microphone It was the man of her attraction. She looked at him confused and mouthed, "What is going on?" He announced, "I have a tale to share With you all about this lovely one!" He pointed at her. Everyone stared. Her cheeks flamed a new shade of red. As a spotlight fell on her she sat Covering her face and shaking her head. She didn't hear the start because It all became a blur "Who doesn't like a playful gal?!" She looked up and caught his stare. He went on to relate how they first met How another time she grabbed his coat And how, for reasons yet to be declared, She wanted to see it float. Everyone laughed as she nodded away At the truths within his rhyme. Her eyes rolled as she thought to herself "Well, you got me back this time!" He asked her to join him on the stage But she refused to stand So he waddled off stage and headed her way Reaching out for her hand... Her heart was pounding, she was smiling Her emotions raced as she opened her eyes. "I wasn't expecting us to meet like that!' She sighed... 'A teasing, sweet surprise."
