For you I approach as a lover, We have much to discover, The air between us begins a static hum, Then you hear me marching to a drum. You feel me gently caressing your skin, I am the hush before my hands begin, I become an ache within your chest, I am a shiver upon your spine, you cannot rest. You see my lightning not as a warning, But beauty that fractures the sky into morning, My thunder no echo to fear or to plunder, But music that pulls you in closer with wonder. The softening of my fury is rain, You lift your face and I wash away your pain, You stay with me as I break apart, I am the storm that is at home in your heart.
