You've melted back into the earth, returned to soil, to nature's birth. I find traces of you everywhere - in every corner I turn, in every creature that crosses my path, yet you're the only one I yearn. You were never just a pet, you were childhood itself, now we're three, and your bowl gathers dust on the shelf. Losing you feels like losing everything again, as though I buried my faith with you, then. The rain has wept where now you lie, it's tears soaked deep from the grieving sky. I hope it blesses where you sleep, where roots now hold what we still keep. I miss you more than words allow, and though you're gone, you're with me now. In peace, I hope you roam, Forever loved. Forever home.
