The Child in me
So tender is the moment when the wind flung the door open, it wasn’t the raging wind that stood in front of me or big boats sailing through the turbulent sea, it was the tender smile in the little girl’s eyes that captivated me. There was so much that she wanted to say but she was so tiny and she kept looking the other way and the innocence in her eyes made me cry. Mighty men cry when they are ashamed, mighty men cry when the loose the game, mighty men cry when they are in pain and when his pride outweighs his wits, he forgets his childhood wish, and the little things that he cannot say eats him up along the way. He knows the key that will open the door but the child in him keeps asking for more. Heaven has crossed the earth with a solemn message from desert, the earth is dry and there is no moisture in the sky, but my will is stronger than me and the ocean is rising above me. I can see something that you cannot see, and nature is calling you to dine with me. The voice of man thunder in the deep and he raced to rescue the lost sheep, sometimes he forget who he is and so he rant and rave from morning till noon over matters that burns the cloud and separate the heaven from the earth, and at the end the sacrifice did not worth it all. The child in me wants it all, the child in me is as bitter as gall, instant gratification accompanied with ice-cream, cake, and marshmallow, waiting for me at the gate, chocolate pie, strawberry jam, sandwich and ham, and if it is not delivered on time, the whole world comes alive, I cuss and fuss and throw everyone under the bus. The child in me is misery; the child in me is big and heavy. The child in me is pure and sweet; the child in me will make you weep. The child in me is attractive and kind, the child in me has an intelligent mind. The child in me will never scream, the child in me will not disrupt your dreams. And if you are in doubt, the child in me will never shout, the child in me is everything I want to be. It marches through the street and greet the people that it meets; and it will never make you sorry. The child in me scales hills and mountains, philandering beside the fountains and feeding bird and spilling beans all over the earth but the child in me will never bring you to poverty, it occupies vast land space, and it open the doors to enter the race. The child in me is obedient and strong and it owns a large proportion of the land; come with me to the corner of the street and you will see the display of the child in me on the playground; it has wisdom and knowledge profound. The child in me is as stubborn as a mule and sometimes it refuse to go to school, I throw myself on the ground and Walla in the dirt and rip up my pants and skirt; the child in me cry’s aloud when its needs are not met and when its belly is empty, my temper tantrum bellow in the town, dad has to come and calm me down, and the heaven wipes away my frown. The child in me leaps beyond boundaries and it cannot be stopped, it is big and wide, and it takes everything and gives you hardly anything. There is a child in everyone, and it speaks through you sometimes it tells you what to do and sometimes it gives you that long awaited break through, the child in me will open the doors the child in me will let you on the shore. The child in me is happy; the child in me is free.
