I found myself outside of my own outline. With no shape to take precedent, Nor space left to fill, This temporary independence help elucidate of what should be done, rather than of what one should do. Albeit, an idea of opinion, A design of bias difficult to comprehend. A feeling of indifference floods in waves, setting aside all that could’ve been. In an effort of comfort in lieu, I seized the dawn that still were foreign, forgotten and new, a grasp upon imagination; To think in accordance of my view felt as if to cast away the sun this icy road had barely knew. A distraction, stealing the memory of wherever it was these cold and drifting winds had been carrying me through. A reason, feeding the strength to my spirit, my steps had believed to have been sworn to. I seized the night as it grew. Footsteps left behind were filled before any chance of a trail time could have left drew; For no one to follow, or for upon coming back to the person I had thought to be, or for the rejection of who I am to not return; Creating anew type of normalcy. Freed yet hollowed of the shape that sharpened my skeleton; a synopsis for my personhood to map. Outside of contours that had always been, to me, of what I am ascribed, I find the loss of destination to provide a sanctuary, And as long as I bear the weight of holding onto my mind, I will be safe. I may not know where I am, nor how to repay the debt that once helped my shape. I held onto love for a world, and that’s enough to never forget. Whether wild or tame, I will be alright. Smile and look at me, Forfeiting again.
