People around have grown cold over time, There is a lack of love, warmth and caring, As the day of the Lord draws nearer, Or maybe my last day (whichever comes first). The cold of the night is seeping in Through these cracked windows and elderly bones, And my weary wrinkles shiver, A blanket is not enough nowadays And I long for the warmth of the sweet Summer sun. There was a time when I played in the snow, Making magical snow angels and chubby snowmen, Catching the soft snowflakes on my tongue, But now, thinking of the white snow makes me white, This cold is enough to make me honest today ~ I simply can't bear this chillness any longer.
