Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Tonight, I sit with my usual glass of wine, and I'm counting down the days when the new year strikes, and we can finally start anew. I've thought and agonized my thoughts to the point of needing clarity. Yet, clarity is so difficult to find in a sea of mess. This is not a perfect poem- it's more like a ramble of thoughts. I sit here with my new candle, I got for Christmas, yogurt covered pretzels, my twinkle lights to remind me; that there is joy even in the darkest days. This poem goes to you. The one I think about most often; who pulled me out of sin, and darkness- who made me believe that love actually, does exist if you just close your eyes and count to three or maybe even five. The who you made me realize, I needed to stop giving myself to men who didn't care about me the you who made me think twice about what I say, to make sure if I say anything I say it comes from kindness, and a place of love. I think of you and our passing times, our light that we have. I will always love you, because of how you made me feel- like anything is possible, when you're done with sin; and the world fades into nothing the light that stands still is yours, and it always has been. If you ever read this. Know you're not too late. This isn't a poem it's a confession. Always. and forever.
