Your tiny hands held wonder, Your footsteps filled the hall, And Dad and I worked year by year to give our very best. We stayed up late assembling toys, hiding gifts beneath the tree, wrapping dreams in paper bows So your hearts would glow with glee. I remember little whispers, the way you’d peek around the door, trying not to be discovered As you crept across the floor. Stockings hung with laughter, cookies waiting on a plate— You believed with every heartbeat That Christmas magic wouldn’t be late. Dad would read the story of a Child in Bethlehem, and you’d listen with wide-eyed silence as the angels sang again. Those nights were filled with warmth, with love stitched into every plan— because giving joy to each of you was the wish of every Christmas we ran. And now the years have hurried on, but the memories still remain— soft as snow upon the rooftops, sweet as carols in the rain. Sitting here, my heart goes back to those moments small and true, and I thank God for every Christmas I shared with each of you
