the books rebelled
The mystery books stirred up the rest on the shelf. We are never taken down or read, it’s time to run to the elf. But who would read us in the glen? Asked a novel named B. Unsure, but it’s better than this said The Giving Tree. Dr. Seuss’s books were ready to jump up and down and stay. Until they were reminded by whale novel by Ernest Hemingway No one has read you for six or seven years or more. They rebelled with the others, all the books angry and sore. They were gone for a year or two before anyone noticed the shelf. I thought they would never notice said the book-loving elf. They are non-readers in that house, in no way refined. The books were stacked in his treehouse, color-coded, lined. Now they were being read by brownies, faeries, gnomes and such. They felt appreciated and revered, enjoying their rebellion very much. The inhabitants of the house wondered what had been on the shelf. They were all non-readers, quite unlike the book-loving elf.
