The Transparent Footprints in the Breathing Sand
The Transparent Footprints in the Breathing Sand I visit a beach where memories grow like seaweed made of light, laughing running until the soul becomes a butterfly of air, the sea was in retreat like a mantle of liquid silver withdrawn, I saw a vision of my Father digging treasures out of time. Pitchfork in hand like a shaman's scepter reading the earth, he chose a patch of sand where the ocean's heart beats hidden, everything looked the same to children playing on altars of waves, the seagulls surveying like white spirits carrying ancient messages. I took off my shoes releasing the invisible roots from my feet, I rolled up my pants like a pilgrim crossing through sacred gates, I laughed inside like a crystal bell ringing in the catacombs, aware of the footprints weaving a ribbon toward infinity. I remembered the soul-measuring game from my childhood, who was the one walking ahead of us on the path of holy sand? I checked the length of the stride like a priest reading hidden runes, a strange sight like a ritual seen through eyes made of mist. A grown adult becoming a wise child drunk on nostalgia, my feet fit into the footprints like a dance across the centuries, the step felt like an embrace from another forgotten life, I stopped to breathe the sky like a prayer made of birds. So many seagulls swirling like wheels of living light above, I turned to see the pearl chain of footsteps on the golden sand, but there were none just the void like a blank page from time's book, I sat on the sand like on a throne of silence watching the sea-priestess. I rose to walk back like a pilgrim climbing toward the temple, but no trace appeared as if I had been a floating ghost, a person walking on the beach like a shadow from another dimension, I tried to avoid them but they passed through me like smoke through light. The vision of my Father digging bait like an alchemist seeking gold, pitchfork studying the sand where the ocean's memory sleeps deep, children playing are oracles who see what adults have forgotten, the seagulls cry mantras in circles tracing sigils in the holy air. Shoes removed like shackles thrown off by a prisoner set free, pants rolled up to pass through water that washes away old sins, the scene unfolds like a living tarot the footprints lead to the great void, the measuring game becomes a ritual of recognizing the ancestors. Who walked ahead of us on the beach that is a threshold between worlds? the stride of the footprints checked like a key unlocking invisible doors, the adult becoming child passes through the gate of initiation in silence, the familiar comfort is the sign that I have been here in other lives. The seagulls in a circle trace a portal above my waking head, the trail of vanished footprints is proof I exist in two realms, bewilderment is the illumination that comes when the veil slowly lifts, sitting on the sand I feel how the earth breathes like a master in meditation. The transparent person on the beach is my guide from the world beyond, I tried to avoid them but their body was woven from pure ether, I visit the beach that is a temple where memories are ancient prayers, my Father digs in the vision that is a portal to the hidden wisdom.
