Never Be Anxious - Wise Advice
A long time ago Some wise advice was shared And it's very helpful for us today. This is how much the advisor cared. It's in our human nature To worry about tomorrow Especially if in recent times We've faced challenges, fear and sorrow. "Never be anxious about the next day." Easier said than done, well known. But the wisdom is clear to see because "Each day has troubles of its own." Prior to this the great teacher asked, And reason on this of you can, "Who of you by being anxious Can add to your life span?" And though troubles may seem endless And with it quite severe, It is possible not to be overwhelmed By unhealthy, anxious fear. These practical words of wisdom Came from one who knows the best How calmer you will feel inside If you put them to the test. If we can learn to take Each day as it comes along, We will find ourselves surprised at how Following this advice can make us strong. (Matthew 6:34, 27)
