My 1st Poem; 12-7-16
-Dedication: Myself; When I was younger, to remember always- An empty room filled with silence, only filled with silence. The drips of the raindrops pitter- patter on the floor. The cold air seeps through the window cracks. The wind pushes the window wide open and fills the room. The room is no longer empty; yet nobody is there. Its dark, cold, and empty. Isolated in the middle of nowhere on top of a hill. The ceiling collapses and I notice its night outside. I step outside, lay on the grass and the sky is filled with stars. The moon is crescent shaped and a shooting star crosses its path. Nowhere else to go, so I lay next to the destroyed room where my only home was. I look up at the stars, where they remain eternal. I get up and begin to walk in search for someone who I use to know, but disappeared. The night is young and I begin to walk north. With nothing, but the clothes on me and a heavy backpack attached to me like a tumor. A long journey awaits me; not knowing which path to take. I keep walking north and I see an ocean and on that ocean there's a boat. I got on that boat and the wind begins pushing the sails. I trust the wind to take me to final destination. Who knows when and how long I'll be on this boat, but I'll be okay. I will hit wave bumps and go through many storms, but I'll be alright. There will be times where I want to jump off and sink straight to the bottom, but I cannot give up. Life itself endures hardships, yet the stars will always be eternal. My journey is long, but I am willing to find that special someone. When I do, the sun will come out and it will be finally warm. (My first poem; Date: 12/7/16) Happy November
