They wished to see me broken, tears streaming down, But little did they know, my God watches over me, in this darkest town. They wanted to see me crushed, helpless on the ground, But even in their triumph, they couldn't wear my crown. I cried out to the One, who hears the whispers of the night, And He lifted me up, with a love that shone so bright. They said I'd never survive, I'd be lost and alone, But I found solace in the arms of Yah, my Rock, my Home. Their words of mockery, their curses, and their spite, Only made me stronger, a warrior in the fight. I learned to stand, even when standing wasn't easy, I found my strength in the One, who wiped away my uneasy. Their abandonment, their neglect, it couldn't bring me down, For Yah sent angels, to lift me up, and turn my frown upside down. I have people who care, who look after me with love, A testament to the goodness, sent from above. Tell them I'm still standing, like never before, Breathing, healthy, and protected, under Yah's wings, forevermore. I've walked through hell, through storms that raged like fire, But I emerged victorious, with a heart that's full of desire. The One in me, is greater than the one that's in the world, I'm standing tall, on the solid rock, where my feet are firmly curled. So tell them I'm still standing, with a voice that's loud and clear, I've been through the fire, but I'm not consumed, I'm still here. I'm a living testimony, of the power of love and might, I'm still standing, and I'll rise, in the light of Yah's glorious sight.
