The mind Reprimanding the heart! Am I forced to take The 5th, lest I self-incriminate My poor self by subjecting my heart To become a pawn of the mind?? For so long–in innocence–I’ve been guilty Of backwards love, leaving self-love, Collecting dust on the shelf of self:- Jesus! Me, myself, and I, for so long, Have been strangers to each other: We each, giving unto others, all that love Which loving God long ago sanctioned, That as one, should be given unto self:- Yes, "to err is human; to forgive is divine." Aren’t I, myself, and me worthy of earthly divinity? Forgive me, self–please forgive me–little did I know That self-love never needs any defense or acquittal; And this is irrespective of it being found guilty of purpose: Loving who I am, who I have been, and who I always will be:- Hey, welcome home: you, me, and myself, I’ve dearly missed y’all:-
