Bring she had never met another guy, I was quiet, my eyes focused on my food, he was the one who inicated the conversation, asked me where I lived, it turned out not too far from where he drives to and from work. Something was different about this guy, he was a strong believer in faith, he loved sports, I suddenly relaxed, enjoyed our brief conversation, time for me to get back to work. He asked if he could keep in touch with me, I said yes after work, he offered to drive me home what was I thinking? I sat so close to the door, I would have been a goner if he had taken a turn too sharp. He pulled up to my house, a true gentleman he was, I could tell he was raised right, he turned off the engine, we sat in silence for awhile, he asked if I liked music, he found a song which was a Christian faith, he gently reached for my hand, slowly I grasped it, I felt like all my worries, stresses melted away, time slipped away from us as two hours later, I said goodnight and exited his car. I walked slowly to my apartment, feeling as if I just met the man whom I knew saved my life, I knew we’d end up together, many more dates a car crash, a retreat, meeting his family, thirty three years later, two kids, getting confirmed in a Catholic Church, who knew a simple lunch break at Wendy’s would last thus long? I only have one person to thank, my mighty loving Savior Jesus, for He was guiding me the whole time, God has blessed us both, many times over, in life you never know who may come to your rescue..
