Many are rendered homeless; for many, education and careers are lost. Those once living in mansions now struggle for a few morsels. The beautiful, vibrant landscape is reduced to ashes and bloodshed. Red, grey, black—this is all that remains of what was once alive. All because one arrogant man wants to expand his territory or boost his ego. Why don’t his soldiers revolt against him? Do they love killing, raping, and watching human pain and agony? Did they take an oath for this? They took an oath to protect, to save, to bring smiles and happiness and yet, they are doing just the opposite. Why? Isn’t it a sin to kill without cause? Humans have been sinning since eternity— because they have people under them who are ready to help. Will anybody take anything from here? Empty-handed, with a load of bloodshed— that is all they will carry with them. And talking of human rights— what is that, I ask? Isn’t every human born on this earth entitled to food, clothing, shelter, and a life without fear? While leaders sit in their protected cabins and vehicles, the common man helplessly watches his basic rights squashed. Humans have always been heartless. No one ever notices the pain of an abandoned child, a mother whose only limb is lost, a wife who struggles without her husband. Mother Earth cries, watching her children— humans, animals, and nature— breathe their last in the most gruesome manner. Earth never wanted its soil to become red. It wishes that humans would have some sanity. It hopes humans learn to live like nature. The so-called most advanced and intelligent species are unfortunately the most apathetic, cruel, and foolish.
