On my temples, I bear a sun and a moon singing their symphony, In this sweet-bitter chaos, joy flows through my veins. I would lament in nameless verses, like a madman devoted to the goddess, Black and white squares dance on the board of ages, like a little girl. My garden is a labyrinth of fears and unknown dreams, In the wall of silence, dark madmen seek lost paths. I love you with pity and with fear, an orderly chaos in my mind, Like a white madman capturing the black queen, trapped in words. In mad stations, sad trains arrive, with summer-filled cars, With reckless gestures, I attract and frighten you, once again, from yourself. Mad landscapes surround me, fragile children lead their parents, Old men with bone sleds descend the slopes of dreams, like saints. I miss you, I search for your face in every corner of the world, In my palm, the sand carries a ring waiting for a name. I hear through time silent battles, your soldiers salute you, My beloved with great troubles, I always feel your thrill. From the thirteenth floor, you wanted to escape from everything, But you understand that life is the game of blood beating in veins. Helpless, sad, yet serene, that's how you were, beloved, The one who opened you was not happy, but full of weary guilt. If I had carved you with the chisel of my soul, love, You wouldn't have become another, awakened in a different feeling. We set ambitions aside, we dive into the sea, Bound like pages in a book, we make an altar of love. Others come to destroy us, but your eyes constantly seek me, And I raise a sad prayer, bearing the sun and the moon on my temples. I love you with pity and with dread, all that is yours belongs to me, Like a white madman capturing the black queen for myself.
