Time transfixed in morning light Is there sun over your garden Are the leaves covered in dew? Or the dark cloud all of sudden Casts a shadow over you? Look out of the bedroom window At the skies and far away Over Chilterns, where the wind blows Shakes the line and your clothes sway You couldn’t see me from behind I was close enough right there Till the ray of dazzling light Broke the silence in the air.
